Diploma PLC acquires Peerless Aerospace

Diploma PLC has acquired Peerless Aerospace, a value-add supplier of specialty fasteners to the Aerospace and Defence markets in the US and Europe.

Peerless is a high-quality business with typical Diploma characteristics: excellent customer service, value-add solutions, speed to market and a strong management team. The acquisition of Peerless, which is complementary to Clarendon Specialty Fasteners, will strengthen Diploma’s position in aerospace fasteners and significantly expand the Control Sector’s US footprint and capability.

Peerless Aerospace has established itself as one of the largest independent value-add distributors of aerospace fasteners and a leader in specialty fastener supply and inventory management. They have a strong reputation for customer service and value-add solutions including: product tracking and traceability, scheduled inventory management, bespoke and automated vendor-managed inventory solutions, and custom kitting. The business is headquartered in Farmingdale, New York.

Peerless Aerospace is a great strategic fit with strong organic growth potential and is complementary to Diploma’s existing Clarendon Specialty Fasteners business, which already delivers sustained double-digit growth.

The acquisition of Peerless will extend our product offering to include airframe fastening solutions, alongside Clarendon’s cabin-focused products, and offers exciting opportunities to accelerate Clarendon’s growth in the defence and space markets. Peerless’ East Coast location will also extend our US footprint from being predominantly West Coast to national; its European facilities will help deliver scale across Europe. Both Clarendon and Peerless will benefit from cross-selling opportunities.

Peerless has a strong management team and experienced colleagues and current CEO, Bill Way, and President, Don Russo, will continue to lead the business.
