Making a Difference: Our Colleagues

Our priority is to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, wherever they are in the world.

Our actions:

  • We are prioritising the wellbeing of our colleagues by focusing our support on their physical and mental health, whether at home or in the workplace.

  • As governments ease lockdown restrictions, we have established steering committees at each of our businesses to manage and review the operational working practices and the health and safety of our colleagues during the transition period.

  • Each of our businesses has undertaken a risk assessment, in line with Government guidelines on working safely during COVID-19, to identify potential risks and measures taken to mitigate them. The risk assessments are undertaken in collaboration with colleagues and are regularly reviewed. Our Group COVID-19 risk assessment can be viewed here

  • We have taken appropriate steps to flex our working practices in light of the impact of the pandemic on both our colleagues and our business, this includes split shifts, additional health and safety measures and some working from home. Consistent with our decentralised model, we are doing this on a case by case basis.

  • All colleagues have access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

  • Our Executive Directors, Non-executive Directors and the Executive Team, including the Sector CEOs, volunteered a reduction in basic salary/fees of 20% during the crisis.
